Hi,
Can anyone advise me how to fit an additional motor to the drivers door of my Hyundai Coupe so that I can wire it to an alarm?
The key currently operates a switch in the door, but I'm assuming this must be connected to a control box somewhere before the output is sent to the passenger door's motor.
Or will there be a straight 12V output from the actuator in the drivers door, which operates the passenger door directly?
Can anyone tell me where all the components are sited and how everything works. Also, do you know the colour of the wires I need to look for?

are you looking to do keyless entry? Also, do you mean that it is the type of car that if you unlock the driver's door it unlocks the others? If that is the case, then you need to get an actuator for the driver's side door and wire that actuator directly to the alarm. Then when you activate that actuator, it will be the same as if you sat inside and locked the door... it will unlock/lock the other doors in the car. If this is not what you are trying to do, then im sorry for wasting your time. kenny

Yes, the drivers door key unlocks the passenger door, but not vice versa.
I have an master actuator with 5 wires, but I have an idea that I'll only need two of the wires in this situation. I was thinking that if I can find the control box for the passenger side actuator it would be an easy enough task to connect these two wires in parallel to the same outputs.
What I need help with is where I am likely to find the wires and control box in this car. It's a 1999 Hyundai Coupe.

If your doing this in the hope that you will be able to lock the car from the passenger side then you are out of luck.
There isnt a switch in the passengers door that will tell the locking to activate

No I want to hook it up to the alarm remote system, so there will be no need to use keys.
