I have a problem popping my doors with the 2 AUX channels. i have the relays wired the same as a trunk release. the problem is when i use the remote to open a door it will blow a 30 amp inline fuse open the door and when you try to put a new fuse in the holder it will blow the fuse and pop the door instantly as if the relay is stuck open or the output from the alarm is telling the relay to stay open. i have replaced the relay in hopes that the relay was stuck open but it still happens. i was told to switch the relay to the negative side of the door soleniod. would that take care of my problem ?
Any Ideas?
thanks
sounds like a short to ground somewhere in the curcuit. yes i would put the relay on ground side of the unit and run constant power to the unit.

i do have the alarm wires coming through the firewall. hopefully they are just pinched. does this sound like the alarm wires are fried? this is the second attempt at putting a compustar in my truck and the first one pretty much caught on fire under the dash.

new info about this problem.....i re-routed the relay to the ground side and when i use the remote to pop the door the popper stays closed until i hit the remote button again. so i hit the button once and the popper gets constant power until i push the button again and it shuts the power off to the popper. is there a way to test the negative alarm wire to see if its giving a constant ground instead of just pulsing a ground ?? the relay seems to be working fine its like the alarm is sending a constant ground to the relay to keep the relay closed and feed power to the popper.
