Anyone had any experience installing the ca-425 code alarm in a honda pilot?

I have the wirng colour codes but need help with the factory alarm: do you have to disable it or can you still leave it active along with the new alarm? If leaving it active what needs to be done?

Thanks

While I personally haven't put in the unit you're talking about.  Based on my experience with DEI and Audiovox alarms,  the factory alarm with arm and disarm automatically when you lock the doors.  The only wire you really have to hook up is the one to disarm the factory alarm without unlocking the doors.  Which is a blue wire at the key cylinder in the drivers door.  Have fun happy installing.

Factory Arm and dis/arm will function with the door locks. the door lock wires are lock = blue/green  unlock = BLACK/ red found in the passenger side MUX unit. They are negative. Meter these wires while turning the key in the passenger door key cylinder.

The passenger mux unit is attached to the passenger side fuse box in the passenger kick panel.

so I can leave the factory system active and the ca425 will then control it as well?
