Hi,

Please any suggestion when placing  the antennas on an alarm system, with the alarm that i work with i try different setting and i am never satisfied , i have tried feeding the wire high up in the dash or over the dash heading closer to the windshield any ideas. Antenna wire is about 2 feet.

thats pretty much it. if you are refering to your range, that depends a lot on interference and the alarms ability to receive it.

Lift and Pull the plastic on pilar back. Bring the antenna straight up as far as possible will probably give you the best range. Zip tied the antenna to what ever you can get a hold of. Other than that changing to a different brand would be your other option if you are looking for range.

I have had some success with wrapping the antenna really tight around a pencil to give it the shape of a spring, then removing the pencil and leaving my newly formed coil under the dash. Just a thought....

If you can, try to locate the antenna away from the metal frame, because that tends to ground out the signal. Problem with getting it out in the open is that it becomes more visible, which is probably better avoided; I prefer it more stealthy. The body of the car acts like a Faraday cage which tends to trap the transmission fairly well, so getting it towards the window areas would be more effective.
