I have an Escort 1995 European! It currently has central locking and i would like to upgrade this to remote. I have the remote locking module. The module has the following wires:
+12v
Gnd,
Lock,
Unlock,
Lock/Unlock Signal,
Boot Release
Hazard Flasher

I need to know where to hack into existing wires for the module for the
12v,
Gnd,
Lock,
Unlock and Lock/Unlock Signals.

Remember it is not a American Escort, it is a British right hand drive Ford Escort 1995 (mk6).  Any help appreciated.

Power LocK - yellow or yel/blk              12v+
Power Unlock - white or wht/vio      12v +

12V - Drivers sill loom going to back of car, or on top of the fusebox.

GND - Drivers kickpanel. There should be a ground point already there.

Lock and Unlock can be found in the plugs which are located in the drivers kick panel. This is the loom which goes into the drivers door.

Easy car to do. Should take you no more that 10 min to do.

I pulled off the driver's door sill, and i found a cable, which i presumed is the speaker cable. I pulled up the carpet and found 2 wiring looms. Both of these looms have red cables, which one do i connect to?

Thanks

I wired it up and it works OK.

Only thing is i want to wire up the indicators. Is there a hazard wire or do i need to use 2 diodes with the left and right indicator wires?

i've been informed elsewhere that the colour on a 96 escort for 12v constant is brown. Is that correct?
