Is there a way to bypass Passlock 3 without using the customers expensive spare key. Meaning is there a bypass that you do not have to coil wire around the factory transponder key. Also if so can this be a permanent bypass? I dont really know much about transponders but I've bypassed Passlock 1 and 2 before with bypass modules.

There is no such thing as Passlock III--- you're probably referring to PassKey III.

Anyway, DEI is now making bypass modules for GMs, and another one for Hondas, that don't require giving up a key.  Here are some guys talking about it:  https://www.carsound.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=001260

Also, I'm not so sure the PK3 keys are that expensive.  If your customer can can get an aftermarket PK3 key cut at a local locksmith, it's easy to program it yourself.   1.  Insert a good, non-valey key; wait about seven or eight seconds and turn it off, remove key and lay aside.  2.  Insert new key and wait around ten seconds.  All done.

Thanks. Do you happen to know the cost of one of those modules? Or can you give me the web address that I can locate one?

DEI should be at directed.com.  I have no idea of the cost, and I haven't seen or used one.  But if you take the part number to a competent DEI dealer, he should be able to order one for you.
