Trying to get remote trunk release to work.
On this 9C1 things changed abit, and the trunk button is disabled until you turn on the ignition switch.
Any Idea???

1. In the trunk, find the electic trunk pop solenoid, and make a note of the wire color going to it.
2. Look under the dash again, and try to find a wire the same color. Maybe in the harness that comes out of the driver's side fusebox, or low in the kick panel where it goes to the rear of the car.
3. Once you have found wire(s) of the same color, start testing. It should turn to positive when you pop the trunk.
4. Configure a relay for positive trigger (the instructions should be with your alarm, or on this site).....connect the relay's output to that wire.
ALTERNATIVE: If you're not having luck chasing down the wire behind the dash. Just set up a relay, and run a long wire all the way back and tie in directly at the trunk solenoid.

Or...
On the trunk release switch, there are 2 wires. One gets 12V when the key is turned on. The other wire is the trunk release. Apply 12V with necessary means to this wire....
