I have an 855LCD in my 2006 mustang. When I hit the car, the sis-11 shock sensor it will not trigger warn away only full alarm. I have adjusted it and while in test mode it will give the short chirp for warn away but not the long chirp for full trigger. My installer is over an hour from me so I would like to try and fix this myself.
Also, he wired the positive trunk trigger to the door positive input. This works fine except that the LCD shows door open when it's actually the trunk. I want to connect this trunk trigger to the negative hood/trunk blue wire. I know I have to reverse the polarity with a relay, I just want to make sure before I do it. Do I need to diode the hood, trunk and remote start safety shutdown? I can see that without them the remote start would shut off if the trunk were opened. Is this correct: 87 with diode to Blue H10/4, 85 to ground, 30 to ground, 86 to trunk trigger. I would also put diodes on hood pin wire to H10/4 and another on safety shutdown H10/1.
If I open the trunk with remote, will it always trigger the alarm? Or is that because it is connected to the door trigger right now? I see that some autopage systems have a dedicated trunk input.
Thanks and sorry for the long winded post.
Look at the shock sensor while testing it. It will give a short flash for warn away and long flash for full trigger. Use two people to make this easier. Wait 5 seconds between tests.
Yes that relay will work as described. Diode isolate to prevent the remote starter safety shutdown wire from seeing a ground through the trunk pin relay and shutting down the engine.
Yes the trunk will trigger the alarm when popped remotely just as if opened with the key.
Cheers and good luck with any future projects.
