i would use a relay just to be safe, but it should work.

YES!

As blazeronspokes and bobk sugested use a relay.

$5 at most for a relay setup. A burn out alarm unit cost you time and money to replace. You do the math.

if it is a DEI product......i have asked the same question to there techs...and they state that u can power up to 3.....but u can wire a relay if u want to be safe.
