Info needed on the 1992 Geo Metro anti-theft device: Mainly on way of bypassing so as to use car to get around. Device is not working any more. Please help? Need to be able to use car since other vehicals are never aound to get me where I need to go.............posted_image

The wireing has no numbers or model identifications just black mounting with 6 solid color wires on it:Black, Green,Blue, Brown, White and Red. The black and green makes a pluging to the fuse area with the green splitting into 4 other green striped wires. The blue and brown go together to same ground screw. The red splits into 3 red striped wires and the white disapears into the wireing harnness............posted_image

Sorry but this car does not have an OEM anti-theft device. If there is one on the car, it's been added by a previous owner. Look under the dash for wiring that doesn't look factory or a black box and see if there is any marking or writing on this box to determine what brand and model it is.

i was going to say.... I have a 92 prizm and if you kick the front right tire hard enough the things starts all by itself!  posted_image

Side note. If it's an auto try putting the car in neutral and then trying to start it. Maybe the "must be in park to start" switch has gone bad. Had it where a buddy of mine had to jiggle his gear shift till the truck would start. Some actually broke into the truck on Xmas eve and that was the only thing that stopped the truck from being stolen! It was an older jeep with no antitheft system
