I've been working on a 95 Corolla that I got off of a friend, and last night I had to disconnect the battery for the first time ever. Unfortunately, everytime I hook up the negative terminal, the damn car alarm starts going off, and guess what doesn't work even though I've replaced the batteries? The alarm remote. I've look on here and it says that the factory disarm is somewhere in an anti-theft module in the passenger's kick panel, but I have not found said module...Does anyone know where it's located or another way to disable the alarm other than this broken remote/receiver? It's a factory installed system, and I know nothing about car alarms. Thanks.

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. There was a hidden toggle switch that apparently turns the system, or at least the led off and on, and I had to put the key in acc on before re-attaching the terminal...now only if I can figure out how to get this damn remote working properly...the thing sends out the signal, the module accepts the signal, but it doesn't do anything. oh well.
