Just installed power door locks on a '89 crx, and also hooked up to an existing alarm for keyless entry.

I haven't been able to look at the car since (but will later today).  He says that when he hit's the brakes or honks the horn, the seatbelt light comes on and beeps like he took his seatbelt off.  The power for the actuators was taken solely from the power sunroof fuse, and even if this fuse is pulled, the problem still exists.

Nothing else besides the locks were installed, and nothing else besides hooking them up to the alarm was done.  I'm lost on this one.  If a plug would have been removed from somewhere under the dash could this cause the problem?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or ideas.

Sounds like an ignition wire problem to me. Check to see that the switched ignition wire was tampered with.

That is definitely possible. If a plug was disconnected, you could have an open circuit that allows voltage from the brake circuit to backfeed the seatbelt circuit. Check all of your fuses because the chime module and bulb check module (stop light circuits) are integrated into the fuse block. Hope this helps.

ok, not ignition, here's the deal...

if the door is open, and you push in the door trigger, the interior light goes out, but the door light stays on.  if you shut the door, it goes out

if you push the brakes, or honk the horn, the light comes on, if you're going over 10mph, the buzzer also beeps and the seatbelt light flashes (safety precaution for when you open the door while moving?).  the horn and brake lights don't work.  i looked in the book, and they are on the same circut.

i'm lost, other than a disconnected plug i cannot find.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

the trigger in the door is in the catch, becuse even if you 'close' the door while it's open, the light goes out if you're holding the regular door trigger closed, i'm guessing this has something to do with the seat belt that's in the door.

anyways, i'm hunting for wiring disconnected plugs with no luck so far, i'm still searching all over the car for a clue.

ok, all better...

whatever retarded honda person who decided that my particular cars horn/brake light fuse shoud be under the hood, and not under the dash where it is marked as being, needs kicked, hard, right in the balls.
