I'm installing a Prostart ct-3360 manual tranny remote starter on a 92 toyota 4X4 P/U (manual tranny). Do I need to wire a clutch bypass? I so, how do I go about doing that? Do I use the ground out while running wire from the 12 pin connector? The truck is equiped from factory with a clutch start cancel button on the dash. Please help.

black and red at the clutch needs a NEG(-) start pulse...read your instruction CAREFULLY to make sure you doin this correctly....it SHOULD tell you what is needed to get this negative signal to the clutch wire....make sure your unit works, and will go thru the safty procedure for exiting the car.

I found the BLACK/ red at the clutch like you said. I cant get the module to remote start the vehicle. This is the description from the installation manual, of the wire that I connected to the BLACK/ red:

WHITE (-) GROUND OUT WHEN RUNNING

This is a 500ma constant ground output active whe the vehicle is running under a remote start. The output becomes active as the same time as the ignition and becomes inactive when the module shuts down. The output can be used to activate external relays, bypass kits, etc.

Does this sound like the correct wire to you?

NO....that wire is used to activate another sensor or deactivate a sensor during remote start. you need an actual "start signal" to the wire
