hey guys, how is it going ? I have a big problem with my Carvox King-Eagle Model 2005 Car Security System. I hooked everything up, exept for the blue/white -200mA bypass output. The manual seys that i have to hook it up to the interface of the remote start system module. But i don't know where that is. When i try to start my car with the remote, it gives power to ignition 1 but then there is NOTHING on the purple wire for the starter. Can somebody please tell me what i did wrong ? Thanks, JB

That bypass output is probobly a ground while running, and might not need to be used at all, unless the car your putting it on has a transponder or similar imobilization system on it from the factory. If its not giving power to the starter wire, it could be for a few reasons. check you ground, check the connection to the starter wire. If the unit you are installing has two power wires that need to be pwered up, make sure that they are both going to constant 12V+ sources. unplug the main power harnes and check for 12V+ at the plug. if one wire has power on it, and one doesn't, that could be it. Also, make4 sure that the unit is not programmed to start a diesel vehicle, that can cause a delay of up to a minute on some models before it will power the starter. If everything checks out, try gripping the wire harnes firmly with one hand, and using it as a handle to swing the unit as hard as you can into the floor of the car. I am not familiar with the unit you are installing, but that trick works sometimes on lower end systems to free stick relays. I call it the "Bulldog Lovetap". Hope this helps.

Oh my god. Are your serious? I think you need to start buying better quality units.

I checked everything. I am on a constant 12 power source. Everything works exept for the purple wire (starter).

is it a standard? i've got a 95 neon and there's nothing fancey about it, no extra security or anything to cause any probs. but if it's an standard going in an auto there will be some safty device's if doesn't see and wont cause power to the starter wire

The "bulldog love tap" is a joke. Mostly. About two years ago I was installing a bulldog remote start that a customer brought to my shop, and had a similar situation to the one that CRR Grabber is having, except I ahd no outpt to the ignition circuit. I calle dBulldog Technical support to see what thier warranty policy was, and that was what the tech I spoke to suggested to me. At first, I was appalled (as any good installer should be) but I figured that since the unit didn't work anyway, that I Might as well try it. So I did, the ignition relay freed itself, and it worked just fine after that. I spoke with thaqt customer just twop weeks ago, and he said the unit works just fine to this day. I have only used that technique three times since then, and only in very special circumstances, and it has worked twice (once only for a short period of time). Since I am now owner of a mobile electronics shop, I usually just use a customers defective product as an opportunity to sell one of my own units. I'm not a hack.
But I digress. Try taking power directly to the purple wire (fused, of course) during the remote start sequnce. If it starts that way, then you probobly have a bad unit. If it doesn't, then you have the wrong starter wire. It's probobly a bad unit.
