Hello,

I  have a 2001 ford explorer sport trac, without keyless entry alarm or factory alarm.  It just has power locks, however the 451 instructions <diagram c> have me cutting the MOTOR wires.  I have the wiring diagram that tells me {power lock =pink / YELLOW }  { power unlock= pink/ltgreen} 

So I cut those 2 wires

  • connect   wht/blc to pink/yel going to motor
  • connect   GREEN/ blc to pink/yel opposite wire cut
  • connect   violet 15a 12v+
  • connect   brwn/blc to pink/ltgreen going to motor
  • connect   blue/blc opposite wire cut

If this is right, I can just access it from the driverside kick panel correct?  I dont have to actually take the doors off?

No do not cut the motor wires.  Just cut the lock and unlock wires and wire them into the 451M.  What that diagram is talking about is the end of the wire that goes to the motor and the end that goes to the lock switch on the door.
