hey folks,

i have an ungo alarm with remote start and it spontaneously starts. crazy. i just realized i burned six gallons in the last nine days with this problem. i've been trying to diagnose the problem for a while.

have you heard of this and is there a good fix? is the remote start controller in the steering column? how can I disable the remote start while still keeping the rest of the alarm functional.

any information is good information.

What model alarm? If it is newer then there should be small gauge BLACK/ white wire coming off of the alarm, unground that wire and the alarm will not be able to remote start.

If this alarm was installed professionaly then take it back to the shop and have them look at it.

you may be in timer mode, is so the car will start every 3 hours for a set time.

if it was in timer mode it would reset when you turn the ignition on.
