I have a matrix 1 in my car and I was wondering if someone comes and brakes or gets to teh parking light and shortes them, would this trigger the alarm? or will it just blow the fuse on my alarm? I am also getting a 515R backup siren and I need to know where is the best spot to put this baby. I really want to avoid the hood since I have my regular siren there. I have a 96 monte carlo. Any tricks or ideas you want to input to make my car as safe as posible. Thank you.

Gone in 60 seconds has tricked you. If you have any decent brand of alarm then it will only blow the fuse on the alarm's parking light output. The alarm will still work but won't flash the lights.

I recommend some sort of battery backup protection, wether a siren or a bub system for the alarm, and a glass break sensor. After that a stealth install so the theif will have a harder time disabling the alarm. From there it depends on the vehicle and what exactly the owner is trying to protect as to what sensors you need to add.

I just got really paranoid when the car right next to my house got broken into. I just turned the sensibility of my glass break, and I am getting a bub siren soon.  Any inputs on the location? I hear inside the fenders, doors, etc... has anyone tried this?
