I have a viper alarm and added a dei microwave sensor. My rador detector has been giving a lot of false K bands. Do you think the microwave sensor is affecting it?
it shouldnt as it should only be active when the alarm is on...... unless you've got it wired up wrong....

I am using a microwave detector, not DEI though. Check to see if there is power applied to the microwave sensor at all times, whether the ignition is on or off. If the power is applied to it all of the time, it will be sending out a signal. On mine, when I turn on the ignition, the alarm brain ignores (masks) the sensor's feedback (triggers), but the trigger light on the sensor is still detecting movement and therefore still sending out a signal. Try disconnecting the sensor and see if your radar falsing goes away. If so, I'm sure it could be rewired with a relay to remove the power to the sensor when the ignition is on.

Yes that is how mine is wired, it is always on but is ignored. I will disconnect it and see what happens
