hi people i've purchased 1 of these kits, wondered it any 1 else has and cant seem to get the boot release to work. i have connected the live (suggested in the manuals) straight to the motor in the trunk and also gave it a ground but there is a jumper setting on the main brain box i've also altered with that and its no joy, i've emailed the seller but hasnt got back to me yet, i've also got a friend who bought this kit back a while ago but he hasnt got this working either as he dnt require a boot release he hasnt bothered with the situtation, as the car is in the bodyshop i need an urgent reply. Many thanks

I'd guess that unit only supplies a low current control output signal that you're supposed to drive a relay with; are you trying to use it to directly drive the trunk release motor?
Did it come with information like schematics or wiring diagrams?

Most if not all system out on the market have a (-) trigger boot release that requires a relay . It will also depend if your have a Type A, B or C boot release on the vehicle.

Hi guys, yep at the moment i am trying to wire it direct form the output from the main brain to the actuator, i think that maybe the problem.. i will try and wire up a relay and see what happens..

I do have the diagram but not with me its at the bodyshop posted_image, but if this wont work then i'll have no option but to upload the diagram.

Unless your car is already set up to drive the actuator with a relay, you should add a relay for the necessary current capability, and protect the box. Some actuators can draw a lot of current, and it's probably not been designed to cover all types, so it's up to you to provide a suitable relay.

Measure that output signal from your box to see if it puts out a voltage pulse (+) or if connects to ground when you push the button (-). Then refer to those wiring diagrams Velocity Motors linked to, and hopefully it'll work ok.
