Thanks in advance to any replies. I sure need help here. Anybody who knows about Directed Eletronics products, please help me out. Thanks.
I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Installed a Python 881 XP on with a remote start. I used the 457G Interface module. How do I program it to unlock just the drivers door with the first push, and then all the doors with the second push of the remote transmitter?
Also, with the 457G, does this module take care of the flashing of the parking lights? I was told by a DEI installer that the module does lock/unlock and flashing of the parking lights. Is that true?
Thanks again.

The end of the road is always moving ahead!
Also, I thought I would throw in a couple more questions:
When I push the lock or unlock buttons, it sends a long pulse (like 1.5 seconds) to the door locks or unlocks. It is not programmed to be that long. Why is it this long?
Also, anybody who knows about DEI products... When I connect the 457G module to its power/etc. then the green and blue (lock and unlock) wires form the alarm (even when they are just bare- not connected to anything) have about 5 or 6 volts in them??? Why this voltate? What am I connecting wrong?
When I push lock, the parking lights flash once. When I push unlock, they don't flash at all. Is that normal???
Please help, any DEI installer, or DEI (Directed Electronics) tech. Thanks!

You can't do priority unlocking with a 457g

nothing u can do about the lock pulse timing
dei says to put a diode on the ground wire to prevent the lock wires from pulling to much power
the flashing of lock and not of unlock might be cause of the settings in the trucks dic. light and horn conformation can be set independly

u need to wire the white parking light wire in....and that will fix ur light problem.....u can not do driver door priority with the 457g.....you will have to wire into the doors to get that 2 work.....or if the get a regualr bypass module and door lock interface....the door lock interface has 2nd unlock wire.....it is called a 456g....and the bypass mod is 555Lw

Where theres is a wire there's a way.

use a gmdaa because it costs more money to do both modules and you also lose heated seats...forget driver's door priority, not worth it IMO.
