I am trying to hook up the door locks on a 97 gmc sierra to my alarm which is a aps590. The truck has a 5 wire reverse polarity lock system. I understand how to hook the up to a relay according to 12volts wiring diagrams, but this alarm has three wires for lock and three for unlock. Which wire do I use for the relay and do I have to connect the other wires? The install manual states to refer to the door lock wiring supplement. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Mike

Not sure of the wire colors but you should have the following identifying acronyms on your installation manual for the door locks:

N/O 87 ( BOTH ) - To fused (+) constant wire

Common 30 ( one for each door ) - Switch side lock

N/C 87a  ( one for each door ) - Motor side of door lock
