I have a valet 554T installed in a 94 fullsize blazer with a 530T window module. If I set the alarm in about 2 days of the truck sitting with out being started the battery is dead. I have checked all my relays and the do not seem to be staying activated. I was wonderin if there is a option on the 554T module that I may have set wrong or what else might be causing this. If I do not set the alarm and the truck sits the battery is fine.

Make sure that your window module is not receiving a constant (-) trigger from the status armed wire off the 554T. I am assuming that you have the 530T activated via the ground when armed wire ?

I do have the 530T activated via the ground when armed wire. If it is getting a constant ground from the 554T what would be the best solution to fix this problem, because I beleive that it would be getting a contast ground from there since it operates a relay for the starter kill.Thank You alot.

Try disconnecting the ground when armed wire from the 530T and arm the system and wait a couple of days. If this fixes your problem, then I think you have a faulty 530T module because they are suppose to cut power from the module after the windows reach the close position.

I will try this, but would the roll down option not work if the 530t is receiving ground all the time to roll the windows up?

Ok I have had the window module power disconnected for a few days, but I have drove the truck some. This morning I went to start the truck after the truck has not been started for 2 days and the trucks battery just had enought juice to start the truck. Like I said the window module power lead has been disconnected, so is there anything else possibly causing the alarm to drain the battery after the truck has not been started for about 2 or 3 days. ------------- bassop

Ok I am trying a few things to help solve this problem. I have jst recently pulled my alarm from under the dash and disconnected all the plugs, but the one that has the power leads on it and the door locks. I think I may have found part of my problem. When I was putting the alarm back in I thought I heard a relay click. I was wondering what affect unplugging all the plugs, but the ones I mentioned would have on the alarm, and what relay that might have clicked. I have not drove the truck for a few days and try to drive it yesterday and had a dead battery. I will check it tonight when I get home and see if the battery is dead again, because I left the truck disarmed to see if it is draining with it disarmed now instead of having to be armed to drain the battery.

This might be a stupid question, but how old is the battery? I get this all the time customer blames the remote start security or whathave for for draining the battery. After actually checking the date on the battery you find out it's 5+ years old. ------------- Cause I'm So white and nerdy...

That was one of the first things I checked the battery is less than 3 years old. Also I have had the charging system checked on the truck and it is fine. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well even though I had battery checked last week it turned out to be the battey. I took it in to have it charged and checked and it would not even take a charge. I plan o letting the truck sit for a few days and see if it will start. i have the alarm and all the stereo equipment fuses pulled and plan and putting the fuses back in one at a time and letting the truck sit for a few days each time to make sure there is no issues draining the battery. i will keep ya'll updated. i appreciate all the help. ------------- bassop
