On the wiring diagram for my 98 intrepid,it says to use a 110 ohm resistor to ground. My manual for my alarm says that if i have a 1 wire system,to tie the two brown wires from the brain together and then connect them to my one wire parking light wire.It doesn't mention anything about adding a resistor. So why would i need a resistor to ground? Should i just be able to tap into my parking light circuit at the switch without a resistor??

your parking light wire for your car is a multiplexed wire, meaning the same wire is used for a different option in your car, the resistor valuse is what the lights are actived by to that wire. Reason you have two brown wires is that some european cars need the parking lights isolated form left and right, so they have built in diodes in the alarm instead of adding some.

Parklights are BLACK / YELLOW positive at the back of the fuse panel.

If you use the blk / YELLOW, it's just a straight connection to the 2 parklight wires from your alarm
