I just bought an Autopage RS-855 system. While reading the install manual and checking the 20-pin harness (the one with all the trigger inputs, tach input, etc.), I noticed that the wires are not in the same order on the harness as how they are listed in the book. For example, a wire that is listed as H20/3 (third wire in the 20 pin harness) is right in the middle of the harness, several wires away from the wires listed as H20/1 and H20/2. Also, some of the wires aren't the right colors. One example being the grounded when armed and grounded when disarmed outputs. One should be orange, the other white with orange, but they are both solid orange. Also, there should be two wires, one BLACK/ white and one WHITE/ black. I have one BLACK/ white and one solid black. If I had only one of these problems, I think I could figure out, either go by the order of the wires if the colors were wrong, or stick with the color coding, assuming the order is wacky, but with both issues, I'm pretty confused. Any ideas short of trying to call Autopage?

Don't take a chance on using it if the wire harness is incorrect.....you've heard about "the can of worms" Im sure Autopage will give you a solution! Either that or the retailer you bought the unit from.

In case anyone is still following this thread, I've gotten the alarm installed. The wire colors are all correct, the order in the harness is different than the order in the book, but the colors all match up. So, basically, don't bother over-analyzing the thing, just hook up the wires by color like any other alarm.
