How exactly does the remote start feature work on theis unit. Units I have had in tha past all had what is call reservation mode which kept the car running after the vehicle was exited and shut down by the remote to ensure it was in nutral. All the info I read on the viper just says something about a togle switch.

This unit is NOT designed for a manual transmission.....if thats what your asking.

While the vehicles running (with the key) push the start button, then it should "take over" and you can get out WITH the keys and leave the car running.....

Remember its NOT for a manual trans.....
