Good Morning,

I'm doing a remote starter install on a 1998 Blazer and have been reading to make sure I have everything covered off.  One question is, how many of the ignition wires do i hook up?  I've read that in a lot of cases you have to 'power' the second wire.  By powering do you just hook up to the remote starter along with the first wire?  For this year and make how many Ignition wires do I have to power?

The Blazer has a 2nd IGN wire ( WHITE ) that required to be powered during remote start otherwise you will run into transmission failure in the near future. Depending on your system that you have you may or may not need a relay to power up the 2nd IGN wire. If your system has a designated (+) 2nd IGN wire, then just hook up the WHITE wire to this 2nd IGN output of the RS harness.
If your RS doesn't have the 2nd IGN (+) output and only a low level (-) output, then you will need to wire in a relay like this:
