I have a 2005 F150 that I put a Crimestopper RS-900.VII remote start in it. If I put a key in the ignition and push the start button on the remote, it will start, so I know the remote start works. I bought a PFK3 so that I could bypass the PATS system, but I can't for the life of me get it to work. Could someone tell me how to install it and where to hook each of the wires. I put it in according to the directions, but the light on the PFK3 never comes on. Hoping I could find some help here.

Thanks,
Mark

there's two wires in the ignition harness, WHITE/ green and grey/orange, they are twisted together. green from the PKF3 goes to the WHITE/ green, pink goes to the grey/orange.

now, you need 12V constant on the red wire, ground on the black and ground when running on the brown wire.

now that's done you need to program the PKF3.

here's how I do it.

Insert key#1 and turn it on until the LED on the top of the dash shuts off.

Insert key #2 and turn it on until the LED on the top of the dash shuts off.

now, remove the key and remote start the vehicle. the LED will flash rapidly. count to 5, and shut off the starter. Now restart the remote starter. the vehicle will run now.

The PKF3 does work on this truck. I have done about 5 of these and have not had a problem with it.

When installing the PKF3 into the '05 Ford F150, the TX & RX wire colors are as follows. If the LED on the PKF3 does not function as the vehicle SECURITY LED does during programming, reverse these wires and re-program.

TX (GREEN-PKF3) = WHITE/ GREEN

RX (PINK-PKF3) = GRAY/ORANGE

Do I connect the red wire to constant power or switched power?

Thanks

Constant, it needs power while the truck is off.

Big Problems! I hooked it as I was told above, went to program the PKF3, and security led was flashing. This happens with both keys and now I can not start the truck even with the key. Could the computer have forgotten the code somehow.

Thanks

Remove everything you installed into the truck.
Take truck to professional.

I have done dozens of 04-05 F-150's with this setup with ZERO problems.
