Ya I bought one of these to just use as a remote start.  Mine the pager would go off driving down the road, i didn't hook up the car alarm part thank god I would have been pissed to have it aways going offf.  Ya mine it would show the truck open when I don't even have that connected.  Have you tried to just ground that wire to see if it will stay off?

I have bought three of these alarms.  They are a pain in the ass until you figure them out.  The doors open will happen after 30 sec of shutting off your car if you have a dome light delay.  Supposedly in the manual it says this a programing option but doesnt say how.

I also bought two of these.  Everything is working fine when the weather is wam.  However, when the weather is cold, it would not start.  It tried to start and them the hood alarm came on eventhough the hood pin wire is not even hook up.   Does anyone have any idea why it woud not start in the cold weather?

I've been playing around with it for a week now.  As for door alarm, I found out that when I did not get the right wire for the door trigger, the alarm would came on with door open.

As for the cold weather problem, do you have the tach wire hooked up?  Some vehicles need it in cold weather, or so I've been told.  Do you have the hood pin wire grounded if its not hooked up?

The first time I bought this system it was called Radiostar King-Eagle.  Now its called Carvox, but its the exact same system and controller.  I too have been unable to get in touch with this guy.  I want to figure out how to program the door open thing to stop doing that .

if you ground the hood pin wire, the r/s will think the hood is always open and it SHOULD NOT start.   i am having the same "cold" weather start problem, and cant find tech support any where, but i am wide open to any suggestions to get this thing to start.

What vehicle?  I just installed into a nissan pathfinder and it has a second starter wire that needed a relay to tie into the first starter wire.  This secone wire is also known as the cold start wire.  If your vehicle has one this could be your problem.

As for the hood pin alarm on the previous post, check your wire, did it get stripped going through the firewall?  It may be bare or broken?

I too made the mistake of buying one of these POS starter/alarm combos...The alarm worked great for me, except the shock sensor was either way too sensitve, or not even close.

The starter was krap, kept cranking.  I tried numerous times to contact the seller, tylerdirden, he exchanged the first unit, the second unti was shhh also, so I sold it as an 2 way alarm for what I bought it for.

Now I have a nu-start 2 way system to get working, I installed it but not getting power to the unit so when I have time I have to check it out again.  I figure there is solder between the new connection & not allowing a proper connection, does that sound about right?

these alarms r junk and if u where smart i would stop buying them and get soemthing that is qualtiy.....i have had tons of problems with them .....customers bring them to me and they all have big problems and never work right....there is no tech support and no one to talk to about them......ebay does have good deals but some of the deals u get can turn to nightmares.

I am in the dispute process of ebay right now trying to get my money back.  What is a good two way system that is around $150?

I think it has to be a faulty system.  The Nissan was working perfect and then the first day it got cold it started doing this.  The customer is not happy so I am going to try a different system when he gets one.  Still waiting to see what happens with ebay.  The seller has 6 days left to respond or I win my money back.  If he does contact me I will try to get tech information if he is willing to resolve it that way.
