G`day all, just wondering how Id go about removing the steering wheel lock?

Im basically doing away with the key igntition system and replacing with a push button, all good except obviously you cant steer without the key in. Is there a way to remove it other than "pull like hell on the steering wheel" as my mate suggested?

Cheers

drill it out!!!! first things first many cars have diffrent ways of pulling them out. some you have to use the key. some you can take the housing off the steering collum and its right there. what kind of car is it?

Its a 96 Legacy. All good tho, I just got a new key cut which Im gonna grind the "handle" part most of the way down on, and just leave it in the ignition permanently, with a fibreglass cover or something. Wont affect the security as theres no wiring harness connected to the back of the lock now.

Cheers
