Would anyone be able to help me out with this? I need an alarm wiring guide/diagram for the 2004 Acura TL. Trying to install a viper 791xv in my girlfriend's TL as a birthday gift. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

chopstikz,

I did my own install on my 2005 Acura TL, and just a tip... do NOT use the GREEN/ red wire they say to use on the 5-pin connector behind the fuse box. First of all, it's VERY VERY difficult to get to (gotta take the fuse box out of the car). Secondly, it doesn't do a solid ground until the dome light turns off which can be a pain. Instead tap into the 4 individual wires coming from each door. Diode isolate them and hook that up to the door-sense wire on the alarm system. You'll be much happier with this setup, I guarantee it.

Good luck!

If you have any questions on your install let me know.

Hey Zax123,

Thanks for the tip....and thanks KarTuneMan for the wiring info. Sorry for the late reply though. By the way Zax123, what immobilizer bypass module did you use? I'm curious to know which model number it is so I can order it online. I used the DEI 555I for my RSX when I installed a Viper 550ESP. Would it be the same in this case? Thanks in advance

The PKH3 and HODL2 from bypasskit.com work better than DEI's modules.

chopstikz,

I agree with JWorm. The PKH3 is what I used and it's awesome! Works first time, right away. Learns the code right away without having to leave a key in the car.

I just replaced the Compustar 2WSS in my TL with the Viper 791XV. I didn't like the Compustar. I have another tip for you. Find the arm and disarm wires from the TL in the door and wire them to the lock and unlock wires from the Viper. Don't wire them to the arm and disarm wires from the Viper. The Viper pulses the disarm wire before starting the car and that unlocks your doors and leaves the car unlocked while your car is remote started. So just use the lock and unlock wires from the Viper. You'll be a much happier camper, trust me.

Any other questions, let me know. :)
