I just installed an Alpine SEC-150R Alarm in my Blazer.  Everything seems to work fine except now my headlights don't work properly and I don't have a working "parking light flash" response when I arm/disarm the alarm.  The headlights turn on but the the drivers LOW beam is the only one that illuminates properly, the rest are just really dim, and all four bulbs come on at once.  The marker lights and bumper lights do not work, except when signalling or hazards are on, then the bumper lights work accordingly........  I am confused..... I have checked all my grounds, they all seem to be good.  Thinking maybe i hooked up a relay wire wrong somewhere....????

Any thought or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!

Thats exactly where I hooked into, right behind the actual switch you use to turn on the parking lights/ headlights.  the other thing that troubles me is that the tail lights flashed when I first installed ( no bulbs in front end cuz i was repairing from a deer I had hit).  But then I put my headlight/park light/marker lights in and clicked the arm button and nothing.  It did blow the 10amp fuse that is on the alarms light flash output wire.....

I just got done removing my dash panels. I found the "park light Flash" wire was pinched and I fixed this.  Now the park lights and marker lights come on appropriately with the headlight switch, but still do not flash with the Arm/Disarm function.  Also all bulbs are very dim, except the Driver's Low beam which comes on full power.

1- The vehicle starts just fine, "pops" right off...

2- No, the lights do not change even with the wire from the alpine disconnected

replace the blown fuse on the alarm output for your lights and check your output too. recheck all your wires to make sure nothing else is pinched. check your fuses at the distribution block you might have blown a fuse.

Ok.... This thing just keeps getting deeper! I fixed the pinched wire, replaced my fuses and now the bumper/marker lights come on very dim with the rest of the bulbs (except the one driver bulb that comes on full power.)  I turned on my hazards to check that they still work and they started out fine.  But as I let them run they slowly started blinking faster, and faster, and faster til they were on and the the relay was clicking like a machine gun!  And what makes it even wierder is that the rear wiper arm was pulsing along with the hazards....  WTF!!! I am seriously stumped!!!

Im about ready to burn the damn thing to the ground and start over......

Any ideas...????

Idk how familiar anyone may be with the blazer grounds but I have one by the driver headlight , two by the passenger, one from the fuse block in the engine compartment, one on the passenger frame rail, and on off the engine block.... does this sound right?  or am I missing one, or more....?

I re-ran the headlight grounds and the fuse block ground right back to the battery..... Is this a good idea or not?
