Hi everyone, here's my dilema. I've got a 1993 Plymouth Voyager in which I have installed a Commando EZ-2500 remote start/keyless entry system. Everything is hooked up correctly (to the best of my knowledge). The trunk popper button and the remote start do not work. I have set the remote so that it doesn't check the Tach or the Voltage and it will still not remote start. Any reason why this might be happening? Also, can it be the car? To my knowledge this van only has 1 ignition wire (from checking the 12volt.com car lookup) but could have another one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again everyone.

The Command Start systems require some kind of signal for the tach in order for it to monitor the engine starting. The tach wire is for the 3.3, 3.5, and 3.8L V6 engines use a triple coil pack and you can use one of the following GRAY, RED / YELLOW or BLUE / YELLOW. Wire colors are for 2 cylinders each. The gray wire may also be gray/black.
The hatch release is a (+) trigger ( use GREEN/ BLACK wire at the switch ) and must use relay to reverse the polarity of the (-) output from the CS unit .

Hi, I got the trunk working today. I figured I would have to use a relay, and actually did it before I read your reply. Remote Start still isn't working. I just finished looking at the manual and it says for the Tach Wire, No connection of this wire is required, if you use the voltage or timer checking type mode. So I don't see any other reason why it's not cranking. Not even making any sound what so ever. Any other solutions? Thanks.

I just installed two of those...and the remote starter won't work at all unless you go through a programing....on page 13 and 14 there is step by step instructions on how to set the starter....eith you can set it to "engine checking tach", "engine checking voltage" or "engine checking off"...neither of the units worked until i set it to engine checking tach. I just read that you already did the programing...sorry for the last post...the other thing i could think of is the BLACK/ white wire on the mini black connector...its for the neutral safety switch and it needs to be grounded in order for the unit to start...i'm pretty familiar with the unit so again if you have any questions pm me
