i friend called me today and had a problem with his vet it has i believe the original aftermarket chapman alarm. and it wont start but turns over. now i first thought the vats system maybe it was seeing the resistance in the pellet wrong . i've done alot of them but after a few phone calls he finially says that the alarm brain got wet. so i did some reseach to how these where tapped in to the factory system in the 80's and the only thing i can find is a grn/wht i believe to disarm the factory alarm. maybe the aftermarket shorted the disarm wire when it got wet.
i told him to take it to my shop but tried to figure it out him self. so i figured i try to help a little and see if anyone out there could help
thankx inadvance

Now if I read correct, you say 83 corvette. no such thing as an 83 Vette, except in Kentucky. in 83 United Auto Workers were on strike until 84. GM made 5. destroyed 4 and the only one sits in the museum.
