02 Altima, Avital 4300, Using this Relay Wiring Guide

Does this mean that cutting the starter wires is not necessary? No need to use Green (key side) wire? One relay for both starter wires? And what exactly is the #86 gowr wire, just a simple chassis ground right?

The few vehicles I've done only required a single start wire, easy enough. Little lost here.

I believe 86 is going to the remote starter units ground out when running. Not chassis ground. From the diagram it doesn't look like you do not  cut any starter wires. I'd imagine Jeff will be along to verify.

I don't see a GOWR wire on unit, still not sure what that is. Closest match is antigrind/ground when armed, but that is on the ribbon harness.

1. Cut starter wires?

2. Green wire (key side) get used?

3. Just one relay for both start wires?

4. What is this elusive GOWR?

Killianj, I believe he is using gowr as an abbreviation for ........ ground out when running.    Did you take a look at the diagram?  That should clear up 1,2,3 that you just posted.

Let me try this again....

I understand what the abbreviation GOWR stands for, what I don't get is what the wire is from the module. There is no wire called GOWR. You're making it seem as if it's obvious, but the fact is no wire is labeled GOWR, that I see.

I have looked at the diagram, the point is I dont know if the module is supposed to get a signal in from the green wire. On a single starter wire the line is cut and you put module inline of starter wire. In this case it looks like your splicing it into w/o cutting the wire(s). This is why I asked question 1 & 2 which never really got answered. 

I'm trying to keep questions as simple as possible but you're still not answering.  Just want to verify what the connections made are. Looks like I'd be missing a connection.

The diagram is describing how to hook up Remote Start for 2 Starter Wires.  On most Remote Starts you would "Tap" into the Starter Wire, unless you are installing "Starter Kill / Dis-Able"......
Which appears to be your Question.  If you are trying to incorporate this as part of the Starter Kill, ....You will have to cut a Starter wire in Half & hook up as instructions on your Avital
Otherwise, the diagram descibed is ONLY for 2 Starter Wires for Remote Start

The Ground when running wire is not the same as the ground when armed wire. The main difference is when the ground when armed wire is engaged by locking the doors, this wire will output a (-) signal as long as the system is armed. The ground when running wire will output a (-) signal only when the system is remote started and will release the ground when the take over process of the remote start sequence.

If your remote start doesn't have a designated 2nd starter output you will use the diagram that you linked to above. If you want to wire in a anti-grind or starter disable relay, you will have to use this diagram instead: STARTER DISABLE.
