for a standard transmission 2003 Dodge diesel 4x4?

I have installed a few Viper alarms in the past, but never a remote start, and am not quite 100 % positive on everything, but it is my Dads truck and I think that I should be able to make everything happen...I am usually very careful and attentive, so I dont screw up too much (knocks on wood)...

I am wondering if there are specific models for diesel / standard transmissions or if there are just modules available for all of their different alarms...I have a 550 ESP sitting at home that I have had for a while (I am bad for picking things up when I am not sure what I am going to do with them, lol...as long as the price is right, I always buy...) and was wondering if I can make this work with the diesel / standard tranny...

any input would be greatly appreciated...

Big Purds...

so what does diesel capable mean? is there anything that has to be done differently? how do I activate the glow plugs before the starter kicks in?

Hey Big Purds,

Here's the shakedown.  The 550 will work just fine with your truck if it were an automatic.  See https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=3&TopicID=3092.
