Hey guys, this is my first alarm install, but would like to complete this one and get into installing alarms.  I have experience in car stereo installations, from head units, to capacitors, subs and amps, so I'm pretty familliar with wiring.  I'm just getting kind-of confused between the vehicle wiring diagram and the alarm/remote start wiring diagram.

here's what I have:

CA-425 Wiring Diagram:

4 Pin Power Harness
1  +12 Volts  Red
2  Starter Input (keyside) Green
3  Starter Output (motor side) Purple
4  IGN 1 Input/Output Pink

22 Pin Base Harness
1    Dome Light Output BLACK/ White
2    Manual Arm Input  Lt.Blue/Red
3    Unlock Switch Input Lt.Blue/Green
4    Trunk Pin  Blue
5    Instant Trigger  Blue/White
6    Remote Start Activation WHITE/ Blue
7    Hood Pin Input  Gray
8    Parking Brake  Gray/Black
9    Negative Door Trigger Green
10  Ground   Black
11  Positive Siren Output Brown
12  Parking Lights  White
13  Channel 1  Pink
14  Manual Disarm Input Lt.Blue/Black
15  OPEN   OPEN
16  Positive Door Trigger Purple
17  Wait To Start  BLACK/ Gray
18  Headlight Output  Lt.GREEN/ Orange
19  Songbird Output  BROWN / White
20  Horn Output  BROWN / Black
21  Tach Input  PURPLE / White
22  Armed Output  Orange

the LED and Valet button are a single unit and plug into seperate harnesses

1995 Eagle Talon Wiring Diagram

Constant 12V+      White (+)       Ignition Switch Harness
Starter      BLACK/ Red  (+)    Ignition Switch Harness

Ignition 2      Blue  (+)       Ignition Switch Harness

Neutral Safety Wire      BROWN / Red (-)       Switch on Transmission
Brake Lights      Green (+)      Brake Switch
Trunk Pin      RED / Green (-)       Works with Dome Light
Parking Lights      GREEN / WHITE (+)       19 Pin Connector at Fuse or GREEN / WHITE Light Switch
Head Lamp      Red (-)       HEAD Light Switch
Hood Pin n/a
Factory Disarm      GREEN / WHITE (-)       Driver's Kick Panel   <-----On another wiring diagram, it calls this one "Alarm Disarm"
Door Trigger      RED / Green (-)       Courtesy Light or Driver's Kick Panel
Door Lock      BROWN / White (-)       Behind Fuse Panel or 20 Pin Connector Driver's Kick Panel
Door Unlock      Brown (-)
Horn Wire      GREEN/ Red (-)       Steering Column

Windows Down      LF=GREEN/ Black, RF=GREEN/ YELLOW

Now, from what I can tell by these diagrams, I have a 3 wire negative lock system.  Also, the trunk and door triggers are on the same circuit??  I BELIEVE, but really have no idea what I'm talking about, by looking at these diagrams, my car does not have a positive door trigger?  Could somebyd with experience at installing alarm systems please explain to me which wires on the alarm need to be hooked up...and what wires they hook to on the car.  and an explanation of why they hook up where they do.  I'm sure i could hook up the locks, horn, headlights, park lights, tach, etc.  But I don't understand the Factory Disarm/Alarm Disarm on the vehicle wiring diagram.  I also don't understand the following on the alarm diagram:  Manual Arm Input,  Instant Trigger, Remote Start Activation, Manual Disarm Input, Wait to Start, Armed Output, Positive Siren Output(unless this is for an aftermarket siren, because my unit utilizes the horn...there's an optional SongBird siren available through Code Alarm, but pin 19 is for the songbird output).  Also, on the CA425, on the 4 Pin Power Harness, there's a starter input and output...does this mean that the  BLACK/ Red wire at the ignition switch needs to be cut and the side towards the switch be connected to the input, and the other side be connected to the output?

I'm very sorry for such a long post...I would really like to install this alarm and remote start on my own.  I like a challenge...after one installation, I'm sure the rest will go a LOT more smoothly.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time.

would also like to add that my car is an automatic with turbo.  Also, would there be any way to make my windows/sun roof close when the alarm is armed?  Thanks again

Paul
