i have installed several ultra start 3255 2 way remote starters and am having problems with the last 2 i have installed. they work fine, unlock, lock, start...etc. but the brain doesnt seem to be replying to the remote. the lcd remote will start the vehicle, but doesnt indicate that it is started by showing the key icon or the exhaust smoke. the smaller 1 way remote works fine and the lcd remote just acts like a 1 way remote. this is happening on 2 vehicles. any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you tried pushing the # key  after the vehicle starts and see what the remote indicates.I install the ultra start systems but have had my share of quirks with the 3255.Poor battery life, defective antennas, slow to respond etc.Let me know.

yes i have tried the #, it doesnt show anything.

what kind of antenna problem, placement, bad antenna in vehicle, or bad antenna in remote?

also, how involved a process is it to become an authorized dealer for these starters?

I had a problem like this before. I had exchanged...

the unit

the remote(s)

and the antenna that goes on the window

the unit and remote I changed cause I didn't want to run back to the supplier if it was defective.

95% it is the (BAD)antenna on the window.....not transmitting signals
