Hi Everyone,
I'm installing alarm system in my Hyundai Accent 2001, but have problems with power doors - can't get it to work. The car has 4 actuators and master door lock switch at the driver side door. The car doesn't have ETACM (I think it doesn't) installed. Please give me any information how to connect "Lock pulse and Unlock pulse" wires to make the system works.
Thanks,
does it have factory power locks or aftermarket? If factory you can neg(-) pulse the lock and unlock wires (check the vehicle database for correct colors) if you have aftermarket locks installed you need to five (5) wire them, or find the Lock control relay and test to find the pulsed lock and unlock wires.
hope i didn't confuse you
I have a factory power locks, but according to a diagram I found
on Hyundai web side all actuators have a motor but a driver side.
Driver side actuator has a relay inside - I can only lock and unlock
all doors by switching driver side switch - it doesn't work if I try
to do the same thing with other door's switches. Do you think it will
works the way you described? One more thing, can you
tell me where can I find a Dome and door trigger wire?
Thanks,
This is a circuit description that I think is in my car
W/O ETACM
Battery voltage is supplied to the left door lock actuator at all
times from fuse 6. There is a metal rod that links the left door
lock switch and the left door locking actuator. When the left door
lock switch is pushed to lock the metal rod then pushes the actuator
switches inside the door lock actuator to the lock position. The solid
state circuit receives the lock input and then supplies power to the
door lock actuators.
The solid state circuit will de-energize the relay coil when the limit
switches in the door lock actuators move to the unlock position. The
door locks work similarly when the left door lock switch is pushed to
unlock, except that the electrical current goes through each motor in
the opposite direction.
You have to ADD an Actuator on the Driver door to Duplicate the Lock / Unlock and that is it
Vehicle with keyless entry use BLACK/ orange for lock and yellow for unlock. They are negative trigger and found at the ETACS module to the left of the steering column.

Thanks for the info.
My car doesn't have ETACS module. If I replace driver side actuator
with one that has a motor, do you think it will work without ETACS?
