I am installing an Excalibur AL-1000e on my father-in-law's pickup. I have almost everything working except for the door input (-). The wiring diagram says that the wire is purple (-) and in a 4pin black connector in the driver's kick panel. I didn't see one. I clipped a purple wire that came out of the pin switch and that didn't seem to make it work either.
I do see a PURPLE / white wire in the driver's kick panel, could this be it?
Also, any ideas on what wire the domelight supervision would be spliced into?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I see a diagram saying purple at the headlight switch so you might want to look for that. I am assuming this is a full size 95 Chevy pickup. The same diagram says to use the same wire for domelight supervision also. Remember to test and make sure that wire does indeed operate the dome light before connecting to it.
