Thus far I've been unsuccessful trying to install a remote start in my truck.  When I enagage the remote starter the starter cranks for a few seconds and shuts off.  Sometimes the truck will run for like a second but then will quit.  I'm guessing it has some sort of pass lock system.  I've tried leaving the key in the ignition in the run position and then engaging the remote starter but it still dies.  I've been able to use a generic copy of my key to start it in the past without any problems.  There are two wires coming off the ignition cylinder (green and brown) so far all I can see is that they have a resistance of .180 M ohms and so does the tip of the key.  These wires read .180 M ohms only while the key is in and in every cylinder position, so even if these wires need to see that resistance to start the vehicle why wouldn't it remote start with the key in the ignition?  The remote start wires are hooked up:

12v=Red    Ign1=Pink   Ign2=White   Acc1=Orange  Acc2=Brown   Starter=Yellow

The 2nd ignition on the remote starter is set up for 12v at crank and run

Anyone have any ideas?
