Ok so I decided to install a hornet 563T into my 2000 Toyota Rav4. So far I've got the key-less entry and alarm part working.

I have a question about the the satellite relay part of the install. The wires are thick, (like maybe 12 gauge wire?) but at the ignition switch the wires a tiny 18 gauge wire. Is this really where I should make there connections?   Here is the install manual .

I was thinking I could cut the ribbon and just connect it like that. The relay does not seem to be needed.

Also does anyone know if I have a built in neutral safety switch in the rav? I guess I could just field test it. If I don't hunting down the wire in the rav won't be that hard.

Hmmm, maybe I poorly formed my question. I am quite the novie, let me re-phrase it.

I see the starter, ignition and acc wire under the steering column. These wires come out of the they key ignition part and go on to some unseen relay.

I am installing a remote start kit with a relay satellite. The satellite has these big gauge wires that is meant to switch high current.

Should I connect the satellite relay to these small 18 gauge wires?

If not, I guess I should follow these wires to the relay they control. And do my connections there.
