What would cause the RED / white wire to be constanty pulling to ground without any transmission from the key FOB?

Hmm, a couple of things. Is anything connected to the wire right now, or is it just sitting there by itself and putting out a ground?

--If something is connected to it, disconnect whatever it is, and test again---you may have a faulty relay or install error.

--If the programming is set to "latched", the wire will put out a ground forever if you press the "trunk" button once, and then the ground will stop if you push it again. If you program the output for "validity," the output will stop as soon as you let go of the button.

--If all that fails, unplug the unit for a few moments, let it reset if it wants to, and plug it back in again. And if that doesn't work, it's probably bad.

P.S. I assume you are testing AT the alarm brain, right? Because if the wire is extended, and running to some other location in the car, you have no idea if it has rubbed through, gotten pinched by a screw, or whatever.
