I had a prestige alarm system with remote start installed on my 97 silverado. I had to disconnect the battery while working on it last week and now the remote start. The remote door locks and alarm work but when I use the remote start, all the lights flash but no start.

any suggestions?

Have you checked the fuses to the remote start relays? If they are fused separately from the brain and one or both of them blow, then the parking lights and the alarm and keyless functions might still work but the remote starter won't be able to power up the ignition harness.
