Where is the tach wire located on a 02 trailblazer? I spent some time under the hood looking for the white wire comming form a "blue plug on passengers side"  from what im told, but couldn't find it.

2002-2006:

Below the ignition wires, there's another harness that runs horizontally. This harness has many white wires, of three different sizes.

--Medium-sized white wire is brake.

--Small gray/black is negative parking lights.

--One of the small white wires is tach. There are several small white wires......and one of them also happens to be what looks to me like a data wire; it is a rapidly pulsing ground.

So, when testing for tach, make sure that not only to you get AC voltage with the car running, but that it varies when revving the engine.

I have been just unscrewing the cover around the cluster and then reach up and grab the harness on top of the cluster. It is the only white wire there.

When these first came out I searched for a good tach and couldnt find one. Well finally got one in a harness running on top of motor towards rear. Blue/black stripe.
