Hello, i've been looking all over the web and the forums, perhaps i'm not doing the right searches.. i'm looking for a remote starter that you can set a specific starting time: 6am, 8:30pm. most's feature descriptions are too vague, all i've come up with so far are, engine start intervals (cold start) and engine running time. i don't want to buy one and find out it doesn't work like i need.

So if anyone knows of such a system, please help me out with a brand and the model number!
I'd really appreciate it.

If you plan to have it installed by a pro, the Hornet 564T, and add the 556T module. Just beware that if you install the 564T yourself, DEI's warranty is void (unless you're a dealer or installer), and you'll get NO customer support from them. The 556T is a simple 3 or 4 wire add-on that lets you set low temp start, high temp start, timed start, time of day and day of week. Google search for Directed 556T.

The 785XV from DEI fits the bill nicely......

Have one on my own car. I have it set up to start about 25min before I go to work every day. Slick piece, should be able to get it for around $300.
