What, if anything, do I need extra to install an alarm/remote start on my '02 Civic. It is an EX model with factory alarm and all electric options. I think it has the anti-theft in the key but I'm not sure. The alarm that I'm installing is a Clifford RSX 3.5. If it has the anti-theft in the key, how do I interface/ bypass it? I'm new at this alarm stuff so any help is greatly appreciated.

I found out for sure that it does have a transponder immobilizer system, now I need to know how to bypass it. If anyone can help,I would appreciate it.

you can either use the 556H to bypass the honda immobolizer, or you can use the 556U to bypass it aswell

With the 556U you will need an extra key to put inside of it

on the 556U the red wire goes to constant, the black wire goes to ground, and the blue wire goes to the ground out when running(-), or the status wire (-), from the alarm brain

you need a bypass module to bypass the anti theft key for the remote start, they make ones that you use your spare key, and ones that are programmable so you dont lose a key. if you dont have diodes you will need those for the door triggers

There are a number of places either On-Line or your Local 12volt Shop that you can get a ByPass
You can get them where it requires you to give up a Key or one that doesn't.  The later being a little more expensive, but a better way ...
OMEGA makes a few:
