Does anybody know how to tell if a 2001 Dodge Stratus SE sedan is equiped with RKE from the factory?

RKE was usually built into the BCM @ driver Fuse / Relay box.

Have your Dealer run the V I N & they can tell you everything that was ordered

Ok, dumb question.  What does BCM stand for.  Also, I'm looking into wiring up a Keyless Entry/Alarm system, but I've read that Dodge has positive door triggers.  Can anybody give me some information on this?

I don't know the exact location but check under dash or behind centre console. Look for a metal box.

BCM is on the left of Driver Dash where your Fuses & Relays are..........Behind the Fuses is a LARGE ( usually ) White Plactic Unit that all of your wires plug into........That is the BCM..........
If you are trying to determine if you have Factory Keyless........Call your Dealer & have him run the V I N..........
Other wise, you can install a Aftermarket Keyless Entry

Ok,  my aftermarket system uses a negative trigger for the power locks,  how do i make this compatable for the positive trigger that Dodge uses on their cars.

Couple of ways you can hook-up..........
You can go to the Relays in the Fuse Box ....  ( They are hard to pull out ) and wire directly to the Negative Pulse PIN
OR
2 SPDT Relays

Relay 1

LOCK:
PIN 87 = Constant 12 volt ( + )
PIN 87a = XX
PIN 30 = 750 ohm Resistor to WHITE / Green Wire in vehicle
PIN 85 = Negative Lock Output from Unit
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Relay 2

UNLOCK:
PIN 87 =Constant 12 volt ( + )
PIN 87a = XX
PIN 30 = 1.8k Resistor to WHITE / Green  Wire in vehicle
PIN 85 = Negative UNLock Output fromUnit
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

If I were to wire directly from the relay i would wire from PIN 85 for both the lock and the unlock, correct? And would that be the simplest way?

Page 6 in your Install manual shows how to wire for POSITIVE Door Locks........
You would hook your Resistors accordingly.........and then hook those to the Vehicle Single wire

Other wise ...If you go to the FACTORY Relays in the Fuse Box , you can NEGATIVE Pulse one of the PINS on each Relay for LOCK & UNLOCK.  There is usually 3 or 4 Relays for the Door Locks On the Fuse Panel
