installed a carvox r/s alarm combo in 99 ford explorer. programed the bypass, started the vehicle manually, let it run for 5 min. tried r/s , worked fine, heater, a/c alarm worked fine. impact sensor was a little sensative but not major.gave vehicle back to custy. if vehicle sits to long (over night) when you try r/s in the morning as soon as it is trying to crank the alarm goes off. now this is a two way unit and the remote does not say that any thing has been triggered to set alarm. it also does not tell you that the vehicle is running.(bypass) any one have any ideas?                                        next thing is that if you start the vehicle and put it into "turbo" mode vehicle stays running but the heater and the a/c doesnt work. anyone?

doesn't matter how good you are, you should always have an open mind.

i thought about that , but if you start the vehicle with the key then shut it off, then remotly startit , every thing run fine. i have been trying to find ANY kind of tech support ANYWHERE, but have come up empty. does any one know where you can buy these units, other than off the net? then maybe i could talk to a real salesman or better yet, their installer.    thanx

Maybe they figured in turbo mode your trying to cool down the engine, so why would the heater or accesories need to be powered.

I read another post about a different alarm system having similar problems.  They fixed it by putting in a new hood pin switch.  Aparently the factory hood pin switch was causing a back feed when cold for some reason and preventing the remote start.  I don't know if this is true but if we all used factory hood pins maybe??
