FORD, F SERIES SUPER DUTY, 1999, Wait to start   BLACK/ pink   ( - )   instrument cluster or PCM

This wire MUST be diode isolated from the instrument cluster to keep the battery from draining, see DirectFax document 1090.

Can also be located in the main harness that runs on the inside of the firewall to the left of the brake pedal.

On DIESELS the TACH wire is a WHITE/ PINK located at the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) or at the Main Harness that runs on the inside of the firewall to the left of the brake pedal.

What unit are you installing. Brand/model. You should try to use a timed wait sequence from the remote start unit or a 528T.
