I recently installed a 2WSSR compustar on my Mazda. I am not very impressed with replacing the remote battery every 3 months. I just bought an 05 F150 Supercrew and looking to put an alarm in it. I like the range of the compustar but like I said I don't like replacing the remote batteries. Any alarm suggestions for another 2Way system.

Basically every 2 way system will have you using a lot of battery juice.

so you put one double A battery in there every three months, what does that actually end up costing you in the end

you can buy a package of 9 or something for like 15 bucks, those nine batteries will last you just over two years

So in the end it is not THAT MUCH

Hmmm, the battery in my remote (2wfm8000as) is still going stong after 6 months now..... Go to the new model Compustar dude. I would way rather have range and reliability over a battery that can be had for $1.00 any day of the week.

Do you know if the old harness is interchangable with the new 8000 model? Also is the remote the same size as well? I found the old remote a little bulky. On a side note the cost of the battery is not an issue the having to replaced the AA battery every few months is. I understand 2way can drain the battery alot more than one-way. I was trying to get a census on what others are out there. I appreciate everyones input.
